this project was made for the inner child in all of us — that pure version ourselves that we entered into this world as that never leaves us. the one with big dreams unencumbered by societal norms & expectations, the one with a heart full of love & nothing else. these songs are an affirmation to keep that inner child alive & well amongst a world with influences attempting to snuff it out. Inspired by their grandparents and father who had & have careers in music & entertainment, colB. dreams of extending the family legacy. Moved by the greats like Stevie Wonder & Minnie Riperton (among many others), with contemporary influences like Cleo Sol & Omar Apollo, colB. aims to carve out a niche as a Singer/Songwriter in the rich world of alternative R&B/Soul. Building off of the release of their singles “roots” and “Is that Okay?” last year, child represents colB.’s first attempt at a cohesive project.

For producer, multi-instrumentalist, and audio engineer, j.corbé’s love for music began as a toddler reaching up to play his nana’s piano. Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, he became a self-taught musician, collaborating with artists and working in studios. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has broadened his musical horizons by crossing genres, mediums, and modes of expression. j.corbé is passionate about supporting the voices of all artists and works to bring out the best of those he collaborates with. He seeks to never be boxed in. This is the start of his career full of limitless expression.
